Eurofins: launch of a new mask test method
(CercleFinance.com) - Eurofins Textile Testing Spain announces the launch and validation of a new testing method to evaluate mask filtration capacity for particles of 100 nanometres, the average estimated size of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The Spanish laboratory underlines that it is currently the only one in Europe and one of only three in the world to offer such a test, which is obligatory for all masks sold on the North American market.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Eurofins Textile Testing Spain received the ENAC accreditation for carrying out tests on surgical masks and has already certified more than 1,000 models of surgical or hygienic masks used throughout the world.
