Eurofins Scientific: two acquisitions in Japan.
(CercleFinance.com) - Eurofins Scientific has announced the acquisitions of the Japanese laboratories Japan Analytical Chemistry Consultants and Ecopro Research, while the financial terms of these deals have not been specified.
Both these acquisitions strengthen the leading position of the French provider of bio-analysis on the market of pesticide residues in food, and give it a foothold in the agriscience market in Japan.
The acquisition of Ecopro also adds to Eurofins' existing local capacities in food tests and is strategically located in Shizuoka, the largest area for tea production in Japan.
