Air France: offsetting CO2 emissions
(CercleFinance.com) - The air company announced the offsetting of 100% of CO2 emissions for Air France domestic flights from 1 January 2020.
In concrete terms, this refers to the CO2 emissions of 450 flights and 57,000 daily customers will benefit from the offset.
The offset will take the form of contributions to certified projects in South America (Brazil and Peru), in Africa (Kenya) and in Asia (India and Cambodia), chosen with EcoAct, a pioneer in carbon neutrality in France.
Between now and 2030, the company plans to reduce its CO2 emissions per passenger/km by 50% compared with 2005.
