Air France-KLM: Q3 earnings down
(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has reported Q3 net income of 366 million euros, down 420 million euros, impacted by a strengthening of the dollar at the end of September and the 100 million euro financial impact of the phase-out of the Airbus A380.
The airline's operating result came in at 900 million euros, down 165 million euros, with revenues up 2% at 29.12 billion euros, while fuel costs also rose - up 135 million euros.
Air France-KLM has confirmed its annual outlook, including a target to reduce costs by up to 1% on a constant currency and fuel price basis, as well as a fuel bill that is up by 600 million euros relative to 2018 at 5.5 billion euros.
