Air France-KLM: Q2 results hit by strikes

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has announced Q2 net income, group share of 109 million euros, down 484 million euros year-on-year, with operating income of 345 million euros, down 241 million euros.


The airline explains that this result includes an impact due to strikes amounting to approximately 260 million euros, and that it generated operating profit similar to that of last year, excluding the impact of strikes at Air France.

The Franco-Dutch group's sales benefited from strong demand, increasing 4% at constant exchange rates, with a 0.8% increase in the number of passengers transported to 26 million, with unit revenues up 1.7% at constant exchange rates.
