Air France-KLM: passenger traffic up 1.6% in May
(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has announced passenger traffic that is up 1.
6% in May, based on capacity that is up 3.2%, which has led to a 0.5-point fall in its load factor to 84.7%.
The airline announced having transported about 7.3 million passengers under its Air France, KLM and HOP! banners. Unit revenue per seat kilometre offered (RSKO) fell slightly, due to the negative impact of strikes at Air France.
Meanwhile, the Franco-Dutch group's low cost airline, Transavia, saw its traffic increase by 8.6% last month, with 1.6 million passengers (+5.8%), while cargo traffic fell by 3.6%.
