Air France-KLM: net loss on one-off charge
(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has posted a net loss, group share, of 274 million euros for 2017, weighed on by a one-off net charge related to the de-consolidation of two pension funds.
Excluding this charge, the net airline's result increased by 46% to 1,155 million euros. The number of passengers carried in 2017 increased by 4.3% to 84 million, while unit revenue increased by 1.8% at constant exchange rates.
The global context remains uncertain in view of the geopolitical conditions and changes in the price of oil, the Franco-Dutch group warned, although it nevertheless aims to have positive cash flow (before acquisitions and disposals) in 2018.
