Kone: wins escalator order for London office tower
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish lift maker Kone said on Friday that it has won an order for 19 elevators for a new 50-story office high-rise building in the City of London, but did not reveal the value of this deal.
Altogether Kone will deliver 19 eco-efficient elevators, of which 15 are double-deck elevators using carbon fiber based hoisting technology. Four of them will travel at speeds up to 8 m/s, the group said.
Two other elevators and two escalators will also ease the people flow, it added.
Construction started in March 2019 and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022, Kone said.
