Kone: wins Toronto light rail expansion contract
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish lift maker Kone said on Thursday that it has won an order to provide energy-efficient elevators for Crosstown, a light rail line that is being built in Toronto, Canada.
Kone's elevators will be installed in 16 of the expansion's 25 stations, the company said.
The new line's stations are expected to begin construction in June 2018, with stations opening in 2022, Kone said.
The terms of the deal were not revealed.
