Kone: wins order for residential tower in London
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish lift maker Kone said on Wednesday that it has won an order to equip a London building which is set to become one of the tallest residential towers in Europe.
The firm will deliver six MiniSpace elevators, two MonoSpace 700 elevators, and a destination control system for the project, it said in a statement today.
Overlooking the Canary Wharf financial district and scheduled for completion in 2022, South Quay Plaza is the first of three towers in the development, the tallest of which will reach a height of 220 metres, with 68 floors.
Listed in Helsinki, Kone shares are currently down 0.8% at 44.5 euros.
Yesterday analysts at Commerzbank trimmed their target price for the stock from 32 euros to 31 euros, saying that the group's margin tailwinds are set to persist for the time being, and maintaining their "reduce" rating on the share.
