Nokia: selected for data centre equipment
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Nokia announced that it will supply data centre equipment to DCspine, a subsidiary of the Belgian group Eurofiber that is specialised in online interconnection platforms.
The Finnish group says that it will supply the service provider with its 7220 IXR routers running on SR Linux, its new network operating system.
The hardware will enable DCspine to expand its interconnection and cloud services offering, increase the scalability of its network and improve the efficiency of its operations through the use of automation.
DCspine plans to deploy the 7220 IXR and SR Linux equipment in a network that already includes over 80 data centres in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
