Nokia: 5G coverage expansion for Taiwan Mobile
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has announced that it has been selected by Taiwan Mobile (TWM) as part of an expansion agreement to enhance the telecoms operator's 5G coverage across the country in an energy-efficient manner.
The Finnish equipment manufacturer will provide its latest energy-efficient AirScale portfolio, supporting TWM's commitment to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2040, as well as a smooth network evolution path for its proposed merger with Taiwan Star.
Nokia has been a partner of TWM for over 20 years, providing 2G, 3G and 4G mobile networks, as well as key contributions to the development of 5G, for which the Taiwanese operator now has over one million subscribers.
