Nokia: signs agreement with Globe Telecom in Philippines
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announced that it has been selected by Globe Telecom under a three-year agreement to upgrade its 4G network, as well as extend the geographic reach of its 5G network to over 1,000 sites in the Philippines.
The rollout will cover the second and third largest islands of Mindanao and Visayas and will begin in the second quarter of 2021, with it set to be completed in 2023.
Nokia will provide equipment and services from its comprehensive 5G AirScale portfolio to expand the Radio Access Network (RAN), including base stations and other radio access products.
