Nokia: chosen by Swisscom as 5G device partner
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said on Monday that Swisscom will deploy its 5G receivers, primarily in rural areas in Switzerland, to offer ultra-fast broadband services.
The Nokia receivers can be used indoors on a window or desk top in cases where there are strong signals, as well as outside on a window or wall if indoor signal strength is weaker.
This technology delivers ultra-fast speeds to areas that are unserved or under served by fiber, when fiber-to-the-home networks cannot be deployed.
