Nokia: selected by US data centre operator Equinix
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said on Wednesday that US data center operator Equinix has selected its routers, as well as its IP and optical network platform, to provide connectivity across its 200 data centers.
The Finnish telecom equipment maker said it will deploy for Equinix, which currently runs services on multiple networks from multiple vendors, a new IP/MPLS infrastructure to support its global interconnection services.
With the new network, Equinix will be able to consolidate into one webscale infrastructure for all of its data centres, allowing customers to deploy 5G networks and services, Nokia said.
