Nokia: deal with South Korea's LS Electric

(CercleFinance.com) - Finland's telecom component supplier Nokia announced on Thursday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the South Korean gtoup LS Electric, entailing a collaboration in data analysis.

Under the terms of the agreement, both groups will conduct a proof-of-concept study around SpaceTime, Nokia's asset lifecycle optimisation application, prior to marketing it with LS Electric's clients.

The aim is to enable companies offering public services to "proactively" manage the performance of their critical assets by identifying - in particular through analytical tools - the causes of their deficiencies, thereby rapidly adapting their capabilities.

Specialised in low and very high voltage products, LS Electric manufactures circuit breakers for electric motors, circuits, electrical installations and distribution networks.
