Nokia: first Firstnet certified router in the US
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Nokia announced the release of its first FirstNet-certified wireless router, a certification that will enable it to be referenced by all public safety players in the United States.
FirstNet, a standard developed by incumbent operator AT&T, is a national public-private broadband network dedicated to public safety that enables communication among 13,000 agencies in the United States, including the fire, police and rescue services.
Only FirstNet-certified devices can be associated with this highly secure network, which is completely independent of network congestion.
