Nokia: selected for 5G by Asia Pacific Telecom
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announced that it has been selected by Taiwanese mobile operator Asia Pacific Telecom (APT) as the sole provider of 5G.
APT will provide Taiwan with ultra-fast 5G mobile broadband speeds.
The exclusive agreement will provide a number of its AirScale radio access solutions. These solutions will enable APT to provide subscribers with state-of-the-art 5G with ultra-fast data speeds, ultra-low latency and a new level of connectivity.
As part of the agreement, APT also intends to deploy Nokia software covering the core network and security.
