Nokia: Ooredoo Qatar launches 5G services
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said that Qatar's Ooredoo has launched a cloud-native core network for commercial 5G services, enabling the carrier to offer mobile broadband to roughly two million subscribers.
The new network's automation features improve network efficiency and streamlines network management, enabling Ooredoo to market new services such as industrial IoT, voice over broadband, and voice over WiFi, the Finnish company said.
Nokia said it also provided equipment and professional services to help Ooredoo to scale its network more efficiently with automated operations and enhanced robustness.
