Nokia: wins deal to automate Telstra's network
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said that it has deployed a self-organizing network software for Telstra, as Australia's biggest telecommunications company is laying the ground for its 5G rollout.
The move will help the Australian operator centralise and automate network operations and to support its move to 5G, the Finnish telecom gear maker said.
Nokia's "EdenNet SON" solution will automate Telstra's radio access network (RAN) configuration management, improving network performance and efficiency to support the increased demands of 5G, it said.
Nokia said the platform has already been deployed by over 100 communications service providers globally.
