Nokia: wins network deal with Thailand's True
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has won a deal with Thailand's True to deploy a 5G-enabling IP/MPLS network in the east of the country, the Finnish company said on Thursday.
The gear maker said that the deal will enable network slicing in the region, spliting the network into independent slices, each with performance characteristics that match specific needs.
This is a "a key building block for any 5G deployment," Nokia said.
The important Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) area - where new 5G industrial use cases are being planned - is located in eastern Thailand.
