Nokia: completes acquisition of Elenion Technologies
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said on Wednesday that it has completed its acquisition of Elenion Technologies, a US-based firm focusing on silicon photonics technology, with the deal having been originally announced in February.
Elenion's technology is expected to help Nokia expand its share on the growing market of optical connectivity for 5G, cloud and enterprise networking, the Finnish company said.
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in New York, Elenion develops silicon photonics technologies for short-reach and high-performance optical interfaces.
Nokia did not disclose the terms of the deal.
