Nokia: air traffic control network for IAA
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announces that with the Irish Aviation Authority it is deploying next-generation air traffic control network for the North Atlantic.
Nokia has supplied its MPLS/IP network products, which have been specially designed for this level of critical applications.
The new, high-bandwidth IP/MPLS network will increase capacity and ensure smooth operation of new, more demanding air traffic control (ATC) applications.
"The North Atlantic airspace is one of the most crowded airspaces in the world and the IAA will need more capacity as traffic grows," Nokia said.
