Nokia: wins contract for 5G transition in Slovakia
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia said on Monday that it has been selected by Orange Slovensko, the Slovakian unit of France's Orange, to prepare the operator's network for 5G.
Under the terms of the deal, Nokia will provide hardware and software for the carrier's new 5G frequency bands, boosting its network capacity so Orange can offer next-generation mobile services for consumers and enterprise customers.
This agreement builds on the long-term end-to-end network collaboration with Orange in Slovakia, Nokia said.
The financial terms of the agreement were not revealed.
