Nokia: expands mobile backhaul portfolio in wake of 5G
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has announced a series of enhancements to its mobile backhaul transport portfolio to help operators prepare their networks for 5G.
The enhancements, which span microwave, optical, IP and broadband technologies, should enable operators to deliver speeds of up to 25 Gbps to base stations, Nokia said.
The announcement has been made ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The rollout of 5G began this year.
