Nokia: secures 500 million euro loan for 5G
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said on Monday that it has obtained a 500 million euro loan from the European Investment Bank to help finance its research and development for 5G technology.
The telecom equipment maker today signed a loan contract with the EIB, supported by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), a key element of the so-called "Juncker Plan," the company said.
The loan has an average maturity of approximately five years after disbursement, which can occur at any time over the next 18 months, Nokia said.
