Nokia: names co-president for IP/optical networks division
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish telecom equipment maker Nokia said that it has appointed Sri Reddy, the current head of its routing business unit, as co-president of its larger IP/optical networks division.
Reddy, who will also join Nokia's executive team, will share responsabilities with company veteran Basil Alwan, taking over day-to-day operational matters and jointly managing the business' strategy and overall performance.
Reddy was a founder of Timetra, a maker of edge routers, whch Alcatel bought in 2003.
