Nokia: launches new digital cities services
(CercleFinance.com) - Today Nokia has rolled out a new suite of services and technology to help operators address needs of digital cities, for which it joined together with Singapore-based operator StarHub.
The Finnish firm said its "IoT for Smart Cities" offer is intended to facilitate the management of smart city services, such as CCTV, lighting, parking, waste management, and environmental sensing.
For urban safety, Nokia introduced the "S-MVNO for Public Safety" service, helping commercial LTE networks to meet mission-critical requirements of public safety agencies.
To this end, Nokia and StarHub are to co-develop analytics services for digital cities.
