Nokia: cloud unit Nuage Networks wins big project in China.
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia's cloud unit Nuage Networks has won a big enterprise project with China Pacific Insurance Company (CPIC), China's second-largest property insurance group, the telecoms equipment maker said on Thursday.
The private cloud SDN project, won via Nokia Shanghai Bell, will use Nuage Networks technology in two data centers: one to integrate the dispersed IT systems of 82 branch offices into one unified private cloud platform, and the second for R&D.
Nokia also said it has completed with Zain Saudi Arabia a trial of a LTE-U technology to be deployed in hotspots, for example, in shopping malls and cafes in Jeddah and around the Holy Mosque in Makkah.
