Nokia: Bpifrance has eyes on Alcatel Submarine Network.

(CercleFinance.com) - According to BFM Business, Bpifrance is one of the French groups that has its sights on a division that Nokia has put up sale: Alcatel Submarine Network (ASN), a company specialising in the laying of submarine cables and particularly fiber optics.

It believes that Crédit Agricole has been mandated by Nokia to sell this asset of the Alcatel group that it no longer wants: several offers have already been sent.

ASN, which generates sales of 700 million euros, would be worth between 600 million and 700 million euros.

Amongst the names circulating are electronics and defense group Thales, which is partly owned by the French State, as well as the cable manufacturer Nexans.
