Nokia: partnership with New Zealand's Spark ahead of 5G move
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has signed a three-year strategic partnership with Spark as the New Zealand telecommunications company is preparing for a move to 5G, ultra-broadband and Internet of things (IoT).
The deal will provide IP and optics equipment and software to the Spark network.
The project follows on the heels of Spark's launch of a 200 Gb/s fiber link that was already using a Nokia optical transport network.
Yesterday Nokia announced a partnership with France's Technicolor, in which the two companies will work together to create virtual reality content utilizing Nokia's OZO+ camera and OZO content creation tools.
The first project will be a series of 360 Masterclass sessions to be held at the Technicolor Experience Center (TEC) in Los Angeles.
