Telefonica: acquisition in cloud services
(CercleFinance.com) - Telefonica announced on Monday that it has acquired BE-terna, a German company specialising in the provision of cloud services for Microsoft enterprise software.
The Spanish telecoms operator says the deal will enable it to position its digital subsidiary, Telefonica Tech, as one of Europe's leading providers of Microsoft business solutions.
In particular, the takeover will enable it to strengthen its activities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Adriatic region and the Nordic countries.
BE-terna is currently one of the top five Microsoft partners in Europe for services related to Microsoft Dynamics, the American giant's business management software platform (CRM, ERP).
Taking into account possible future payments, the acquisition could be worth 350 million euros.
