Telefonica: in talks with Amazon for Prime Video
(CercleFinance.com) - Telefonica is reported to be in talks with Amazon to integrate the latter's Prime Video service into its telephony, television and Internet offerings, according to Bloomberg, which quotes a closely related source.
The US media explains that the Spanish telecom operator would like to save its customers the hassle of subscribing to content separately, and thus ensure their greater dependence on its offers.
Bloomberg recalls that in May Telefonica already concluded similar agreements with Netflix for Europe and Latin America, and adds that it would discuss with several other streaming services for transactions that would cover certain markets.
