Grifols: buys remaining stake in US firm MedKeeper
(CercleFinance.com) - Spain's Grifols said it will acquire the rest of MedKeeper so that it can consolidate this US technology firm that develops mobile applications used by hospitals and medical centers.
The maker of blood plasma derivatives announced late on Monday the acquisition - for 60 million dollars - of the remaining 49% of MedKeeper, in which it has had a 51% stake since 2018.
Grifols said MedKeeper strengthens its hospital division's main business line Pharmatech, while helping boost its presence in the US market.
Based in Denver, MedKeeper specializes in developing software products for clinicians, such as formulary management and communications systems and low-cost clinical documentation systems.
