Almirall: Ilumetri reimbursement plan approved in France
(CercleFinance.com) - Spain's Almirall said on Tuesday that French health authorities have approved the reimbursed price of Ilumetri, its treatment of severe chronic plaque psoriasis.
The agreement comes after the French National Health Authority in June provided a favourable opinion for the reimbursement of the drug, saying its actual benefit was "important".
With the drug now included in the list of reimbursable medicines by the social insurance, it will become available to eligible French patients "in the following weeks," Almirall said.
The drug - a monoclonal antibody - was approved for patients with moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis by the European Commission in 2018.
