Almirall: open innovation platform deemed a success
(CercleFinance.com) - Spanish drugmaker Almirall said that over 450 scientists have subscribed to its open innovation R&D platform, with more than 170 different project proposals having been received.
Since its launch in 2017, the so-called "AlmirallShare" hub tries to identify therapeutic targets and experimental disease models, while searching for new treatments and technologies in dermatology, the group said.
Almirall said it has already started two research partnerships on pre-clinical models for atopic dermatitis with the University College Dublin (Ireland) and the University of Sheffield (UK).
New scientific collaborations will start very soon, the company said.
