Siemens Gamesa: huge maintenance contract extended
(CercleFinance.com) - Renewable energy group Siemens Gamesa has announced an extension of the maintenance contract for the 714MW East Anglia ONE wind power plant from 5 to 15 years with its clients ScottishPower Renewables and Bilbao Offshore Holdings Limited.
It said that this is one of the largest contracts in the history of the Siemens Gamesa business unit.
East Anglia ONE's 102 turbines, located off the coast of Suffolk, England, deliver clean, green energy to the equivalent of 630,000 British homes.
The contract extension comes just one year after the last turbine was commissioned. The contract includes the provision of offshore logistics and jack-up vessels.
