Siemens Gamesa: string of orders in Pakistan
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa announced on Thursday that it has won a series of orders for 205 turbines, which will be installed in eight new wind farms in Pakistan, with a total capacity of 410 megawatts (MW).
These projects will enable the group to position itself as one of the leading players in the emerging wind energy market in Pakistan, the Spanish industrial group said.
All these projects - which are expected to go into operation at the end of next year - are expected to supply some 600,000 households with energy, Siemens Gamesa said.
