Siemens Gamesa: signs 231 MW wind turbine deal in Sweden
(CercleFinance.com) - Swedish onshore wind power firm Arise and infrastructure investment manager Foresight have signed a deal with Siemens Gamesa for the supply and servicing of 35 wind turbines for a 231 MW project in Sweden.
The deal is for 6.6 MW turbines, the most powerful geared onshore wind turbine ever, Siemens Gamesa said in a statement.
The turbines have large rotor diameters, of 155 and 170 metres, resulting in maximum performance in high-, medium- and low-wind conditions, the group said.
