Siemens Gamesa: in deal to acquire some of Senvion's assets
(CercleFinance.com) - Spanish wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa has entered into an exclusive non-binding agreement to potentially acquire some of the assets of its German rival Senvion, the companies said on Monday.
The two companies are now entering final negotiations and expect that the necessary decisions will be taken by the end of September, they said.
The deal comes as the approval of Senvion's insolvency plans by its creditors' enabled this transaction.
Siemens Gamesa shares are currently up 0.3% in Madrid.
