Siemens Gamesa: preferred supplier in Taiwan
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) announces that it has been designated by Ørsted as a "preferred supplier" for 900 MW offshore wind projects in Taiwan, including about 112 turbines and a service agreement.
Subject to the signing of a final contract, the Spanish group will establish an assembly plant near the port of Taichung, which must be ready by 2021, ahead of the timetable set by the local authorities.
