Siemens Gamesa: wins major contract in Thailand.
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa has announced that it has won the largest order in its history in Thailand, for over 100 wind turbines representing a total capacity of 260 megawatts.
The turbines in question will be installed on the Hanuman wind farm in the north-east of the country. 215 metres high, they will be the highest in Asia. They are scheduled for delivery in May 2018.
As a reminder, Siemens Gamesa results from the merger, in early April, between Siemens' wind power activities and the Spanish group Gamesa. Most of the group's capital is mainly held by Siemens.
