Zealand Pharma: kicks off final-stage trial with children
(CercleFinance.com) - Zealand Pharma has kicked-off the Phase 3 trial with its dasiglucagon rescue pen for treatment of severe hypoglycemia in children.
The pediatric study will enroll up to 40 children with type-1 diabetes and assess the time to recovery from insulin-induced low blood glucose, the Danish biotech company said.
In a pivotal Phase 3 trial, 99% of the adults with type-1 diabetes recovered from low blood glucose within 15 minutes following an injection of dasiglucagon, Zealand said.
