Zealand Pharma: teams up with Australian university in R&D
(CercleFinance.com) - Zealand Pharma said on Tuesday that it will collaborate with the Australian university UniQuest to develop novel drug candidates for gastrointestinal diseases.
Zealand - which is trying to diversify its business beyond its partnership with Sanofi in diabetes - says it has a strong track record in the discovery of peptides for therapeutic use in gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases.
Ranked in the world's top 20 universities for life science research, UniQuest has been responsible - amongst other things - for developing the HPV vaccine Gardasil.
