Maersk: wants to float its drilling unit

(CercleFinance.com) - The Maersk stock is up 3.
3% in Copenhagen today, with the shipping giant announcing, alongside its interim results, that it wants to float its drilling unit (Maersk Drilling) in 2019.

The Danish group says that this project, which was decided on after assessing different options, marks a milestone in its transformation into a company that is focused on transport and integrated logistics, as announced in September 2016.

In Q2, Maersk announced an 85 million dollar loss from continuing operations, compared with a profit of 10 million dollars a year earlier, despite revenues that are up 24% to just over 9.5 billion dollars.
