Zalando: invests in Infinited Fiber Company
(CercleFinance.com) - German online clothing retailer Zalando has announced an investment in the textile regeneration technology group, Infinited Fiber Company, which will enable the company to establish a flagship factory in Finland.
The technology transforms cellulose-based raw materials, such as cotton-rich textile waste, into Infinna fibre, a regenerated textile fiber that has the natural look and feel of cotton, in addition to being biodegradable and free of microplastics.
Both companies are about to sign a letter of intent stating that Zalando is now committed to supplying raw materials to Infinited Fiber Company, and to using its Infinna regenerated fiber for its own brand production.
