Zalando: selects Amazon as preferred cloud provider

com said on Tuesday that German online fashion retailer Zalando had signed up for its Amazon Web Services (AWS), in another contract win for the cloud computing unit of the Seattle based tech giant.
As part of the deal, Zalando has selected AWS as its preferred cloud provider, and will run all of its machine learning workloads on the company's cloud.
Zalando said it will use AWS' machine learning services to offer a more personalized online shopping experience to its clients.
With AWS, Zalando plans to develop new customer applications faster, such as creating digital avatars that allow customers to virtually try on clothes.
The companies did not disclose the terms of the deal.
