Siemens Healthineers: FDA approves new angiography system
(CercleFinance.com) - The US Food and Drug Administration has approved Siemens Healthineers' high-precision angiography system that allows minimally invasive procedures.
The "Artis" system has been engineered for utilization in neuroradiology and abdominal imaging, as well as for vascular, interventional cardiology, surgical, and oncology procedures, the German company said.
The system is based on a new image chain that increases image quality to achieve optimal contrast at patient radiation doses that conform to safety standards, Siemens Healthineers added.
