ProSiebenSat.1: Q2 net income up 9%.
(CercleFinance.com) - German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.
1 Group said on Thursday that its net income grew by 9% to 144 million euros in Q2, despite weaker advertising markets.
Adjusted EBITDA reached 270 million euros, the company said, up from 254 million euros in the same period in 2016.
Revenue in the period from April to June increased by 9% to 962 million euros, it added.
ProSiebenSat.1 said it still expects more dynamic growth in the second half of the year.
As a result, the company reiterated that it expected the German TV advertising market to achieve net growth of between 1.5 % and 2.5 % over the full year.
However, ProSiebenSat.1 said growth at the lower end of this range is perceived as being "more likely."
On the XETRA market, the shares were down 2.5% at 33.5 euros after the report.
