Osram: invests in Calfornian autonomous driving startup
(CercleFinance.com) - Osram's venture capital arm has invested in the latest round of funding for a Californian start-up that specialises in autonomous driving.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in San Jose, Recogni has developed a vision-oriented artificial intelligence (AI) platform for autonomous vehicles, Osram's Fluxunit said.
Its technology enables data to be processe from infrared light sensors, camera and radar systems, in order to detect distances in real-time and at low power consumption.
Besides Fluxunit, other groups such as Toyota, BMW, and Faurecia have taken part in the latest 25 million dollar financing round that was raised by Recogni.
